Explore blockchain as a medium with workshops, mentoring and hands-on instruction
The Tezos art ecosystem offers a powerful foundation for artists interested in using FA2 smart contracts as an active part of their creative practice.
FA2 smart contracts are uniquely suited to an exploration of blockchain as a medium. Their multi-asset structure, support for batch operations, and low transaction costs open up possibilities that are either impractical or financially inaccessible on other platforms.
The FA2 Fellowship, a public workshop series, invites a broader community of artists to engage with FA2 through with mentorship and guided development. This provides a pathway for artists newer to smart contracts to explore their potential as part of a long-form creative process.
Following the educational series, participants will develop project proposals with curatorial and technical guidance. Sessions are spaced over several months to accommodate reflection, iteration, and skills development.
After the instructional phase, artists receive mentorship and can join two critique sessions. Finalists will present their proposals in Spring 2026 after which one collaborative project will be chosen for exhibition on MoMI's media wall.
